As parents and role models of society we recognized our social responsibility to help harness and cultivate the youth’s potential in order to build our country. As citizens we took it as our duty to support the Government in its’ struggle with MKUUZA or Zanzibar Poverty Reduction plans.

We have set up several initiatives that have yielded tremendous results and these include; imparting entrepreneurial skills to the youth, supporting them in finishing their education, encouraging vocational training to give them the necessary practical skills and spearheading healthy living through awareness programs.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with one small step, a wise proverb states. Our small step was taken in the year 1998 when the idea was conceived in the Raha Leo Constituency in the Urban West of Zanzibar. The office was opened in the year 2001. Since then we have faced many trials and tribulations, which thanks to our donors who we see as partners, a lot of what you see today would not have been possible. And now after twenty two hard working years, and with proud practical experiences and achievements to talk of, we have finally decided to launch our website.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar and all our implementing partners for their continued support. I would also like to thank the youth for their active participation and let us make this year an equally productive year.

To my fellow citizens I would like to lastly assure them that charity is about love, care and respect. The privileged are few in the world of today, so let us share a bit of what we have so that we can make this a better world.
